Stepping Into the Unknown

When I handed in my manuscript to my publisher this past May, I thought a few things might happen:

  1. I might feel really vulnerable for having my story "out there."
  2. I might celebrate with friends and family for completing a milestone.
  3. Or maybe I would simply exhale a huge sigh of relief.

What actually happened took me by surprise.

After I pressed send on years of hard work, I crumpled onto the kitchen floor and cried for a really long time.

Like, an exceptionally long time. And then I took a two hour nap (something so completely unheard of for me).

I wasn't sure what was happening, but it felt like a powerful surge of energy moving through me - like a purging of sorts. The culmination of something I worked so hard for, an exhaustion from having fought my self-doubt every step of the way, and a feeling of stepping into uncharted territory.

What happens next?

I have spent the summer feeling like I am still waking up from that nap, as though I've been in a rebooting process. Like when IT asks you, "Have you tried turning it off and turning it back on again?" It feels as though my body, mind and soul turned off and have been slowly powering back on.

I realized that I have walked through yet another door, a portal that asked me to deeply shed layers of beliefs, expectations, and ideas. In order to step into this next phase, I am being asked to move further into what is true for me. To let go of the ideas I have about what success is, and what happens next. To let go of what no longer fits... even if I want it to fit.

This has been a personal theme for 2025, but also a collective one: this surrender and transformation.

Energy Insights

2025 has begged us for truth. Not just what is true for us collectively, but what is true within our souls.

What has our soul been showing us that, at first glance, we may be resisting?

Truth is a beautiful thing, but it can also feel difficult at first - like sandpaper brushing against a part of us that wants to pull away. Because once it comes to light, it cannot be unseen, and it will ask us to move differently.

It's becoming harder and harder to move against what our soul knows.

Where we may have been able to ignore it before and continue on with our lives, now it feels immediately obvious that pushing forward or overriding that knowing just isn't working.

This might show up as fatigue or an inability to focus. It might be coming through as a complete halt on projects, ideas, or even relationships you were working on. You might feel like you are at a stand still or being completely rerouted in a new direction.

And if this is bringing up resistance, I am right there with you. The unknown can feel scary but it is asking us to imagine what could be, instead of relying on the limits of logic and reason about what we think is possible.

This requires a lot of surrendering.

Because while we might be feeling resistance, truth is also an opportunity to move into deeper alignment with ourselves. And from this place we are able to have more clarity and more authenticity.

Plus, what feels like an ending is often a doorway into a new beginning.

What are you finally seeing as true for yourself? And how can you meet it with more curiosity and the magic of possibility?

With love,

Danica

🪽Angel Card Pull: Cut the Cords 🪽

Everything is energy. As we move throughout our lives we may have some energetic attachments to ideas, situations, or even people and places. The angels are reminding you to release those energetic cords and limitations and to surrender control of the situation, placing it in their hands. But doing this, you invite their divine guidance and open yourself to possibility.

New On The Podcast!

Yes, I definitely say “talk to the rocks” in this episode…

Sometimes, simply shifting the way we move through our day can help remind us of the magic.

What if we could invite more magic into our lives simply by cultivating more intention and pause throughout our day and within our physical spaces - reclaiming the pace at which we move and the energy we invite into our daily lives.

In this episode I offer some simple practices to turn your living space into a retreat, welcome in softness, and move with more intention so you can invite more magical moments of ease, connection, and joy throughout your day.

Warmly, Danica

Letters to the Sensitive Soul

Hi! I'm Danica, a medium, intuitive guide, and author. My work is devoted to creating supportive spaces for highly sensitive folks to reconnect with themselves, their bodies, and their inner wisdom. I weave together intuitive guidance, somatic practices, and trauma-informed tools to help ease perfectionism, soften self-criticism, and strengthen self-trust, because I believe spirituality isn’t about transcending ourselves, but deepening into who we are.

When I was 7 years old I watched a National Geographic documentary with my family. It was about shrimping (shrimp fishing?) and I remember the crew pulling up their fishing nets to reveal hundreds of dead dolphins, turtles, and other sea life. All. That. Destruction...and they only collected a measly 6 shrimp for profit. I was horrified. While my family seemed to watch with interest and continued about their day, my world had been turned upside down. I locked myself in the bathroom and cried...

"I've only read about this in books!" he exclaimed, with obvious excitement and honestly, a little too much glee for the situation at hand. Not the thing you want to hear from the DOCTOR about to perform a complicated surgery on you. ..But here we were! Hospital gown and all. A place I seemed to find myself often: in paper gowns, staring into the eyes of perplexed doctors. It was 2012, at the very height of me hiding my spiritual abilities from the world. Are you waiting for permission to follow your dreams? I definitely was. I always wanted to be a writer. Partly because my introverted and highly sensitive self loved the idea of being alone in a cabin, overlooking a vast river, writing quietly with a cup of coffee. *Bliss* But mostly because I had a love of words and stories. I love to hear people’s stories. I love to share stories. And books have been so transformative on my own journey of healing and self-discovery - finding hope in others'...
